Free streaming service Tubi has one of the most expansive free streaming catalogs on any app, thanks largely to parent company Fox, which keeps the streamer stocked with thousands of hours of entertainment. However, with such a huge library, it can be tough to find what you want to watch, especially because Tubi's in-house recommendation system isn't all that intuitive.
Luckily, a new Tubi app has been added to ChatGPT that aims to make it a little easier to find something to watch on this massive platform. I tried it out and here's how it went:
Plenty of broad suggestions, not a lot of detail
ChatGPT also thinks maybe if you're picky you should get another streaming service
A screenshot of the Tubi app on ChatGPT.When I was first looking for suggestions from ChatGPT for things to watch on Tubi, I decided to go as broad as I could, asking for general suggestions of sci-fi content to watch on the platform. And ChatGPT gave me some solid recommendations, including anthology series like The Outer Limits and The Twilight zone. However, when I added some specifics, like asking about movies that were critically acclaimed or released in the past decade, ChatGPT seemed to imply that perhaps Tubi wasn't the right platform for me.
A screenshot of a ChatGPT conversation about Tubi.Still, I was able to find some decent suggestions with the right prompt, and it seems like if you're willing to put some effort in to your prompts (and are specifically looking for vintage content) this tool is perfect for bringing some order to the chaos that is Tubi's library.
How to try it for yourself
Simply add the Tubi app and then tag the handle to get started

Then, to use the app, simply type what you're looking for on Tubi into ChatGPT and tag @Tubi to use the app. All of ChatGPT's suggestions will have direct links to whatever content you're looking for, which is very convenient when you're looking to fill up your watchlist fast.
I don't know if I'll be using this tool a lot to find things to watch on Tubi, but I will say that it is handy if you're looking for broad suggestions, and it did help me find something to watch (I settled on the 2014 Snowpiercer remake from Bong Joon Ho) that I didn't previously know was available on the service.
