Apple’s First-Ever Foldable iPhone Design Leaks Again as iPhone Ultra Case Surfaces

Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone, widely expected to be called the iPhone Ultra, is tipped to arrive alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series this September. While several leaks have already hinted at the device’s design, a new development from accessory maker iFunSmart has added further credibility to those reports. The company has started listing protective cases designed for Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone, offering another look at its expected form factor and reinforcing previous design rumours ahead of the anticipated launch.

Accessory makers often begin producing cases months before a new iPhone launch, relying on leaked CAD renders or dummy units to ensure their accessories fit correctly on day one. This practice has historically resulted in highly accurate designs, and recent foldable iPhone dummy units shared by Sonny Dickson are believed to have served as reference material for manufacturers preparing accessories for Apple’s first foldable device.

New case listings from iFunSmart, spotted by the French publication iPhoneSoft, provide another look at the rumoured foldable iPhone design. The cases reveal a slim profile, a compact rear camera module with two lenses, and a circular section for magnetic accessories. The accessories are advertised with features such as military-grade drop protection, integrated N52 magnets, a matte translucent finish, and raised edges around the camera and display for added protection.

The design shown in the listings closely matches previous rumours and leaked dummy units. The presence of only two camera cutouts supports reports that Apple may omit a dedicated telephoto lens from the device. Images also indicate support for a Camera Control button, while an Action button is notably absent. Due to the folding form factor, the case appears to use multiple snap-on sections instead of a traditional single-piece design.

Although the cases include magnets, this does not necessarily confirm built-in MagSafe support on the phone itself, as the magnets could simply enable compatibility with magnetic accessories. Apple is widely expected to unveil the foldable iPhone, rumoured to be called the iPhone Ultra, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series in late 2026. Leaks suggest it could feature a 5.5-inch outer display, a 7.8-inch foldable inner screen, the A20 Pro chip, 12GB of RAM, dual 48-megapixel cameras, side-mounted Touch ID, and a starting price of around $2,000.
